The Economic Development Committee makes recommendations to promote business, industry and commerce within the County.

• 2007 Recommendations
• Supported the development of a Municipal Education Strategy, the creation of a Mobility Innovation Center (MIC), and the creation of a new route to China on Northwest Airlines.  The committee praised the accomplishments of the Oakland Schools Chinese Language Initiative and the Community Shared Service Initiatives.
