The Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Office, in conjunction with www.landaccess.com is pleased to provide a new service to homeowners. 

Fraudcheck allows homeowners to see whether any unauthorized documents have been recorded against their property in the Oakland County Register of Deeds Office.

 

Fraudcheck - designed to fight deed and mortgage fraud, allows you to:

  • see if there has been any suspicious documents recorded after you have recorded your deed or mortgage
  • contact the Register of Deeds office to verify if your property is in jeopardy

To use Fraudcheck, simply fill in your last and first name and select 'search'. The results will provide any documents recorded against your name in the Oakland County Register of Deeds Office. If you notice any unfamiliar dates of recorded documents, please do not hesitate to contact the Tract Index division at 248-858-0596.

There is no charge to use the online Fraudcheck service. Documents may also be examined in person at the Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Office.
