Divisions of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner's Office
The Water Resources Commissioner's Office is divided organizationally into three divisions.
Administrative Services manages water and sewer billing as well as organization-wide quality, environmental and safety programs. GIS and IT support staff are part of this division and provide maps and relevant digital information about Oakland Countys storm drains, water and sewage systems. The digital information is an integral component of the County's Geographic Information System (GIS). Additionally, they provide technical support to the entire Water Resources Commissioner's staff and work closely with Oakland County's Information Technology Department to provide technology components and training.
Engineering and Construction is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of new storm drains, sanitary sewers, water main, wastewater treatment facilities and lake level control structures.
Operations and Maintenance operates and maintains all drains, sewer systems, water supply systems, well water facilities, sewage pumping facilities and treatment plants.
