The following permits are issued by, or facilitated through, the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner's Office:

• Soil Erosion Control Permits
  Permits for certain earth change/construction work in certain communities.
  
• Construction Projects
  Permits for development or construction projects that take place with a designated drainage area.
  
• Drain Use Permits
  Permits for making changes in use, cover or structures within the right-of-way/easement of designated drains.
  
• Water and Sewer Permits
  Permits for individual connections to municipal supplies.

Contractors connecting or disconnecting to Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner sanitary/combined sewers and/or interceptors must be bonded with the Water Resources Commissioner's office. A $500 cash deposit and a current $5,000 surety bond must be on file with the Permit department.  (Surety Bond Form DC-443) (file size 93K) . The surety bond is valid for one year and can be renewed by the bonding agent. The original continuation certificate must be submitted to OCWRC at the time of renewal.
