Mark Newman
Captain, Investigative and Forensic Services Division
Captain Mark Newman is the commander of the Investigative and Forensic Services Division.
Captain Newman started his law enforcement career with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office in 1975. During his career he has worked in Corrections, Court Services, Patrol Services and Investigative and Forensic Services divisions.
Affiliations include:
- Member and former vice president of the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Michigan
- Member of the Oakland County Chiefs of Police Association
- Member of the National Sheriff's Association
- Graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 220
