No, the medical staff is bound by HIPPA laws and is therefore bound by law not to release any medical information to anyone, no matter what their relationship to the Inmate.

Can I drop off medication for an inmate?

Yes, If an inmate is arrested and he brings medication with him it could possibly given to the inmate until the jail doctor sees him. If an inmate needs medication before the jail doctor can evaluate the inmate, medication can be dropped off at the visitation desk.

Once the jail doctor sees the inmate, if he determines the inmate needs medication, the prescription will be filled here at the Jail. The personal medication that the inmate had here must then be picked within seven days. The medication may be picked by Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Any medication must be in the original bottle prescribed by a doctor. It must be in the proper bottle, proper label and have the proper medication in the bottle.
