Waste Management - WM's electronic recycling, or eCycling, allows residents to recycle outdated or unused electronic items such as televisions, DVD players, computers and video camera equipment. Eagle Valley Landfill (600 Silver Bell Road West, Orion Township) will accept E-waste during its normal hours of operation, Monday Friday 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Recycling is free for Sony, LG Zenith and Goldstar products, as these manufacturers have agreed to implement free "take-back" programs for the electronics they produce. All other electronic items will be charged a recycling and reprocessing fee ranging from $15-$50 per item based on the type of item and its size.
To recycle unwanted electronics, residents simply load the materials in their vehicle and take it to Eagle Valley. Facility staff will charge the appropriate fee for the materials to be recycled, and accept for free the Sony, LG, Zenith and Goldstar products.
**E-cycling is available for local residential electronics. Commercial or industrial customers will need to contact Waste Management at 800-796-9696 for assistance managing larger volumes of electronics.
