This workshop is based on the recent publication: Black Faces in Green Spaces: The Journeys of Black Professionals in Green Careers. The Journeys guide was created in partnership with Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), The Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI), and Project Learning Tree.
Planning partners include representatives from: Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan State University, Greening of Detroit, Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education, Michigan Detroit Zoological Society, Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and the USDA Forest Service.
