Help Adults with Disabilities - Become a Direct Support Professional - Make a Difference

Join the staff of New Gateways, a local nonprofit organization in Waterford, Mich., as a Direct Support Professional. You will play a key role in supporting adults with disabilities, helping them build skills, become self-sufficient and learn from vocational training.

Through the New Gateways USDOL-registered professional apprenticeship program, participants earn a competitive wage, gain an industry-recognized credential and help patrons become positive and productive members of their community.

Job Profile:

  • Starting wage of $16.00 per hour
  • Convenient daytime schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Responsible for the direct care and community engagement of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Direct Support Professional positions can lead to careers in nursing, RBTs, BCBAs, OTs and speech therapy
