Phone System

Approved family members and/or guardians are now able to purchase prepaid phone services through Smart Communications to receive calls from their child.

Individuals can contact a Customer Care Representative 24 hours a day, 7-days a week, at 1-888-843-1972 or visit the Smart Communication website to create or add funds to an account.

Visitation

Rules for Visiting Your Child

Visiting hours are Wednesday’s 6:30pm and Sunday 3:30pm - 5:00pm. You must show a picture ID (Driver’s License, State ID or Passport). Contact the child’s Case Coordinator before you come if you do not have ID.

  • Only approved people can visit, such as parents, step-parents and legal guardians
  • Visitors need to be over 21 years of age
  • Babies and/or children are not allowed
  • No electronic devices of any kind including cell phones
  • No purses – briefcases
  • No drinks – food – snacks – candy – gum (except for Shelter Care – drinks must be unopened and in a sealed container)
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No smoking or Vaping
  • If you are suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, you will be asked to leave.
  • Hats and coats are not allowed in the visitation area
  • Do not talk to other residents while visiting your child

Visitor’s Dress Code

  • No tube tops, bathing suites, see through clothes or low-cut tops
  • No short skirts – short shorts – short shirts
  • No skirts/pants exposing your behind
  • No shirts exposing bare belly or bare back
  • No gang related, sexually explicit, drug, alcohol or foul language words, writing or pictures on clothes
