Oakland County Parks and the City of Oak Park are partnering to revitalize and invest in David H. Shepherd Park. The northern area of the park will continue to be owned by Oak Park but will now be operated and invested in by Oakland County. The northern 17 acres of Shepherd Park feature approximately a quarter mile of paved walking paths around the perimeter, pavilions, grills with tables, playgrounds and a nature path. As the revitalization project gets under way, we want to hear from you about the items that are most important to you in a park.
However, due to the weather, the Pop In and Play event will be moved to the Oak Park Community Center. Join our staff to learn more about David H. Shepherd Park and share your input on the future of the park. Comment cards and paper copies of the online survey will be available and there will be games and activities to enjoy.
If you can't join in person, please take our online survey.
