  • Date: 01/19/2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Oakland 80 initiative works with community partners to help achieve our county's goal for 80% of Oakland County working-age adults to have a post-secondary degree or credential by the year 2030. Oakland80 aims to create more economic stability and career opportunities for residents leading to higher wages and a more secure future. It also helps Oakland County employers by building a more skilled and talented workforce.

For many, preparing for a career after high school can be an intimidating process!

An Oakland80 navigator will provide information to help residents achieve and reach their career and educational goals. Connecting residents to scholarships offering free in-district tuition at a Michigan community college to earn an associate degree or Pell-eligible skill certificate and resources to help overcome any barriers to furthering their education such as books, equipment, child care, etc.
