Build a Registered Apprenticeship program to expand your skilled workforce and provide a comprehensive, work-based training opportunity.

Apprenticeships combine classroom study with paid, on-the-job training under the supervision of a journey-level craftsperson or trade professional as a mentor.

The length of apprenticeships vary, depending on the training requirements that you determine are necessary for apprentices to succeed.

Registered Apprenticeship programs may be eligible for federal and state grant support.

Automakers across the globe are developing electric vehicles for sale in the United States. The demand for talent to design and build these modern cars and trucks, plus mechanics to service them, continues to grow. Now is the time for employers to upskill their workforce to succeed in the EV space.

Join us for our next virtual workshop, which will highlight the work of the Michigan EV Jobs Academy Employer-Led Collaborative. More than 130 partners, including manufacturers, labor, industry stakeholders and educational institutions, are charging forward to develop training programs to meet the automotive mobility and electrification industry’s talent needs.

The EV Jobs Academy is managed by the Workforce Intelligence Network and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and its Office of Employment & Training Sector Strategies Team.

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
