2025 Campground Rates

Addison Oaks, Groveland Oaks and Independence Oaks campgrounds (youth groups only) are booking group areas for the 2025 season. Group and facility reservations are accepted 335 days (approximately 11 months) in advance.

Reservations for individual campsites, cabins and yurts at Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks are accepted 180 days (approximately six months in advance) and will begin Nov. 2 for the 2025 season.

Camping dates are:

  • Addison Oaks Campground - May 1-Oct. 15, 2025
  • Groveland Oaks Campground - May 1-Oct. 6, 2025
  • Camp Wilderness Youth Group Campground at Independence Oaks - May 1-Oct. 15, 2025

Addison Oaks has 180 campsites available, plus group areas, cabins and yurts. All campsites are modern with water and electricity on site.

Campground amenities include bike and walking paths, fishing lakes and playground areas. During summer weekends, there are themed campground activities. Bike and boat rental is available at the boat house.

Groveland Oaks has 267 campsites, 12 group camping areas, cabins and yurts. All campsites are modern with water and electricity on site.

Campground amenities include a walking trail, playground areas, swimming beach, mini golf and skate area. During summer weekends, there are themed campground activities. Bike and boat rental is available at the boat house.

Designed with youth groups in mind, Camp Wilderness at Independence Oaks County Park offers two adjacent campgrounds accommodating 40 campers and 100 campers, respectively.

  • Each area features a pavilion with water and electricity, accommodating up to 100
  • There is one platform tent in each camping area
  • Sites include fire rings, benches, grills and picnic tables. Firewood is available for $7/bundle or $25 for four bundles
  • A shared heated, modern bathhouse offers showers and restrooms (Located on Site 2)
  • Camping is open May-October; no winter camping
  • Minimum of 10 youth and two adults required
  • Camping areas are a two-to-five-minute walk from parking lot. Drive-up and drop-off are not available

Full Stream Ahead

Full Stream Ahead is a guided kayak program that combines kayaking with a nature talk. The topic is Underwater Cities: Biology. Discover what aquatic plants and animals inhabit freshwaters throughout the county. Below the surface of freshwater resources there is abundant life and participants will learn how these organisms thrive and interact to make vibrant ecosystems. Cost is $10/person. This program is recommended for ages 18 and older and is limited to eight participants per session. Participants are expected to know how to operate a kayak. Park entry fee is not included. Oakland County residents ages 62 and older can apply for a free vehicle permit at OaklandCountyParks.com under the Reservations & Purchases tab. Call 248-858-0916 to register.
