Full Stream Ahead

Full Stream Ahead is a guided kayak program that combines kayaking with a nature talk. The topic is Underwater Cities: Habitat. Uncover what components make up an underwater world. Vegetation, wood, sediment and water all make up the building blocks of aquatic habitat. Discussions will focus on why habitat is important, and how habitats are affected by urbanization and development. Cost is $10/person. This program is recommended for ages 18 and older and is limited to eight participants per session. Participants are expected to know how to operate a kayak. Park entry fee is not included. Oakland County residents ages 62 and older can apply for a free vehicle permit at OaklandCountyParks.com under the Reservations & Purchases tab. Call 248-858-0916 to register.
