PONTIAC, Mich. - On Monday, September 30, 2024, Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD issued additional criminal charges against 68-year-old Zvi Levran.
These charges stem from two separate incidents. The first incident is alleged to have occurred in Farmington Hills between 2018 and 2019. The defendant allegedly captured then sent himself explicit photos of his 16/17-year-old patient. Charges related to this incident include Child Sexually Abusive Activity and Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material.
The second incident is alleged to have occurred in Novi in 2020, when the defendant allegedly solicited an explicit video from his 16/17-year-old patient. Charges related to this incident include Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity and Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material.
"This individual used his position of trust to prey on vulnerable teenagers,” stated Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “I commend the bravery of all those who have come forward, which takes immense strength to do. My office will continue to work vigorously to hold this defendant and all other individuals who engage in such behaviors accountable to the fullest extent under the law.”
Currently Levran faces 28 total charges. He was taken into custody in November of 2022 and has remained at the Oakland County Jail since then on previously issued charges.

Child Sexually Abusive Activity is a felony punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $100,000. Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material is a felony punishable by up to 4 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $10,000. Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity is felony punishable by up to 25 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $125,000. Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material is a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or a fine up to $50,000.
Charges are accusations and individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
