David leads DTE Energy's direct customer-facing Energy Optimization offerings including low income, home energy consultation and multifamily programs. The Energy Optimization group is charged with developing, marketing and delivering DTE Energy's aggressive energy optimization gas and electric savings goals by designing and managing programs through third party vendors.

His programs are the first in the country to provide field technicians with Remote Interpretation Software to facilitate communication with non-English speaking groups and the deaf community in order to provide superior customer service. David's work at DTE Energy has been recognized through corporate and community awards as well as invitations to speak at national conferences.

He holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan in structural engineering, a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University and maintains a professional engineering license with the state of Michigan. David's professional experience includes program management, marketing campaign development, public policy, corporate strategy and consulting.

He currently serves in local government through an appointment with the city of Farmington's tax board of review. David maintains an active community volunteer presence through his appointed position to the board of directors for Green Living Science and service with the Red Cross of Southeast Michigan.
