For nearly 10 years, Marissa Antonio Wiesen has committed her career to defending vulnerable populations. As an assistant attorney general with the Michigan Department of Attorney General, she advocates on behalf of victims of serious crimes and prosecutes criminal appeals from inmates in state prisons.

She is on the board of the Women's Bar Association, Oakland County Region, chairing the Bylaws Committee as well as a member of the Michigan Asian-Pacific American Bar Association, fighting for equality for Asian-Pacific Americans.

Wiesen is an alumna of the Leadership Oakland LOXXVIII Cornerstone Program Class, actively serving on the Program and Justice Committees.

Wiesen earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she was an executive editor of the Toledo Law Review.

She lives in Birmingham.
