Nykol brings to her position a well-established background of over 15 years working in the non-profit sector with various populations servicing Veterans, Prison Reentry, and Workforce Development community programs helping individuals overcome life’s challenges. She has a strong passion for helping her community gain the resources and knowledge to help improve their quality of life.

Nykol has worked closely with various Oakland County Michigan Works! programs including Community Ventures and the Business Resource Network, focusing on employee turnover and disengagement. In 2021 Nykol was recognized for her accomplishments in the Michigan Works Impact Award for assisting employees in overcoming personal and professional barriers to employment that may hinder them from being successful.

She has participated on several committees including the Oakland County Foster Care Review Board, OLHSA’s Divisional Housing Collaboration and the Strategic Planning Committee, identifying gaps and providing resources for residents to secure gainful employment.

Nykol holds her degree in Criminal Justice from Madonna University and played soccer for the Osolets at Schoolcraft College winning 2nd place in MCCAA CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENTS. Outside of work, Nykol enjoys the lake life and spending time with her two children traveling and enjoying outdoor adventures for all seasons.
