Doing Business with Oakland County Airports
Rules and Regulations
The Airports' Rules and Regulations were adopted by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners on October 25, 2018 and amended on June 13, 2024. The provisions of these documents are intended to promote and ensure:
- The delivery of high-quality Aeronautical Activities and facilities at the Airports;
- Safety and security;
- Economic health of airport-based businesses;
- Orderly development of Airport properties;
- And the consistent establishment and enforcement of policy to avoid conflict of interest.
All users of and any Persons on the Airport are governed by these Rules and Regulations. It is the responsibility of all Persons operating on the Airport to acquaint themselves with and adhere to the Rules and Regulations.
Minimum Standards
A similar review and update of the Oakland County Airport Minimum Standards was conducted and adopted by the Oakland County Airport Committee on December 27, 2018, effective January 1, 2019. Anyone with additional questions should contact the Airport Administrative office.
Construction Permit
The updated Oakland County Airport Rules & Regulations require that a construction permit must be applied for and approved by the Airport Manager prior to commencement of any construction on Airport Property, including modifications, demolition, improvements, signage, installation of fuel storage facilities, etc.
FAA Airspace Review Prior to Construction
FAA requires Obstruction Evaluation/Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA) review prior to any on-airport construction or proposed construction near an airport.
