Services

The OCIA Air Fair partners with the Civil Air Patrol, Federal Aviation Administration, Michigan Office of Aeronautics, Oakland County Airports, military recruiters, flight schools and universities, aerospace manufacturers, aircraft owners and aviation businesses to ensure a fun and eventful learning experience for the whole family. The event is free to all, and the goal is to provide parking at as minimal cost as possible. The air show lineup includes a variety of aviation performers, from single ship to multi-ship acts, sky divers, and an aviation comedy act in 2024. Oakland County Parks & Recreation offers a special children’s playland and Oakland County Health Department is on hand with a health clinic to share information and provide services. Select food vendors and exhibitors are aligned on the ramp to the delight of our visitors. Airplane and helicopter rides are available at $50 per person.

OCIA Air Fair Mission

OCIA Air Fair is a 501(c)4 non-profit corporation with a mission to promote aviation safety, education, training, research, and public awareness in Oakland County. OCIA is an acronym for Oakland County International Airport based in Waterford Township, MI. The OCIA Air Fair is managed by a volunteer group of pilots, aviation professionals and general enthusiasts with a special interest and passion for promoting aviation, educating the public on aviation’s rich history, and introducing aviation to future generations. The organization hosts an annual air show event at OCIA to excite the community about the business, pleasure and military uses of aviation, and the economic impact it contributes to the local economy.
