Design Assistance Program

The Design Assistance Program (DAP) is a program designed to assist business and property owners in our Main Street Oakland County communities with the physical appearance of their property.

As part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Main Street program embraces a strong preservation ethic and the program relies on the Secretary of the Interior Standards to guide its design and technical recommendations.

Historic Preservation Assistance

Historic Preservation Assistance is designed to assist property owners across Oakland County.
The program relies on the Secretary of the Interior Standards to guide its design and technical recommendations.

We also work with closely with the Environmental Stewardship program.

Oakland County, in partnership with Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) brings you advanced training focused on the roles and responsibilities of Historic District Commissions.
