Celebrate World AIDS Day in Ferndale

In partnership with Ferndale First United Methodist Church, Oakland County Health Division is inviting you to our free World AIDS Day 2024 event on Sunday, December 1 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. World AIDS Day is a time to honor those who have lost their lives, or infected and affected by HIV. We will reflect how far we've come in HIV education and treatment, and celebrate progress to ensure a future free from HIV.

Event activities include:

• Speakers Michelle Thomas, NP & Leon Golson, Director of Prevention Programs for United HIV Health & Beyond
• Performances by Sing Out Detroit and Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit Ensemble
• Candlelight vigil
• AIDS Memorial Quilt Panel
• Light refreshments 

The event is open to the public and requires no pre-registration.
