Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a program for first-time mothers living in specific areas of Oakland County who are less than 29 weeks pregnant. A public health nurse will visit the mother in their home throughout pregnancy and continue to visit until the child is 2 years old.

The nurse will help clients learn about pregnancy expectations, baby's growth and development, parenting skills, community resources and more.

Eligibility

  • Women who live in specific areas of Oakland County
  • Less than 29 weeks pregnant with their first baby
  • Must be eligible for WIC or Medicaid to participate in NFP. Enrollment in these programs is not required.

Appointments

Appointments are scheduled with a nurse once a client is accepted into the program.
