Agents of Discovery is an augmented reality game with missions and challenges that can be played on a smartphone while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Oakland County Parks system. Missions are designed to ignite curiosity and encourage people of all ages to discover unique experiences close to home.

Two different missions are currently available, one on the All Visitors Loop at Independence Oaks County Park in Clarkston and one at Red Oaks Nature Center in Madison Heights.

How to Play

• Download the Agents of Discovery app from the Google Play store or Apple App store
• Select the Missions button and search through the available missions
• Choose Agent Oakie, who will share a greeting and explain the mission. Upon completion of this step, USBees (in-game points) will be earned and players will be eligible for a reward (this varies depending on the mission)
• Have fun exploring the parks in a whole new way by enjoying the mission and challenges on the trails
• The app tracks the number of missions completed, USBees collected and time spent in the app for those who create an account. Review progress made and see the completed mission and badges earned

New missions are introduced each season at various parks, providing wonderful educational opportunities to interact with nature when the snow flies, flowers bloom, sunshine abounds and leaves change color.
