About

Waterford Oaks’ tropical wave pool features palm trees and bubbler fountains near the shore. A children’s water playground features more than 30 interactive activities. All pools are heated. Other amenities include a bathhouse with showers and lockers, lounge chairs and tubes. On-site food is not available. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is the perfect spot for a picnic with grills available in picnic areas to prepare your own food. Patrons are welcome to bring their own lunch, dinner or snacks. However, no glass or alcohol is allowed on the premises. Oakland County Parks lifeguards are trained through the Jeff Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program and are licensed by Ellis to work at OCP facilities. Lifeguards take part in an initial 24 hours of training, 10 hours of orientation, on-site training and shadow a veteran lifeguard on duty at the pool. Lifeguards are required to attend ongoing in-service training throughout the summer to ensure their lifeguard skills continue to be top notch. Management staff oversees the lifeguards daily.
