Aquatic Opportunities
Oakland County Parks offers many opportunities for water fun in the summer:
- Red Oaks Waterpark offers multiple attractions, including a wave-action pool, triple-flume waterslide, River Ride float and children's Splash Pad with 52 interactive water features, including a water play climber with slides and a dumping bucket. The wave pool and River Ride are heated. Picnic areas, family restrooms and other amenities are available.

- Waterford Oaks Wave Pool is a community facility featuring a tropical wave pool with palm trees and bubbler fountains near the shore. A children’s water playground features more than 30 interactive activities. All pools are heated. Also available are picnic areas with grills, bathhouse with showers and lockers, lounge chairs and tubes

- Independence Oaks County Park maintains a large beach area with a sandy area perfect for building sandcastles or relaxing along the shoreline. Picnic areas and pavilions are nearby. The beach does not have lifeguards on duty.
- Groveland Oaks County Park is home to a sandy beach along Stewart Lake. Pedalboats, kayaks, paddleboards and Corcl boats are available for rent. The beach does not have lifeguards on duty.
