Springfield Oaks Event Center

The Event Center’s Grand Hall offers ample space for larger wedding receptions, dances, art and antique shows, memorial services and sports activities. For a more intimate setting, the Carousel Hall is also available for weddings, banquets, seminars, reunions and more. Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for events. Waterford Oaks Event Center

Waterford Oaks Event Center accommodates 200 for banquets and large gatherings. It features an open floor plan with adjacent bar area and coat room. Select audio-visual equipment is available. Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for picnics and parties.

Lookout Lodge

Featuring a fireplace, deck, scenic overlook and ample parking, Lookout Lodge comfortably seats 100 at tables and is a particularly picturesque setting for winter festivities. Guests can provide their own food or use an outside caterer. Audio-visual equipment is available.

Outdoor Locations

Cohn Amphitheater at Independence Oaks/Wint Nature Center

The Cohn Amphitheater, with shelter and fire circle, accommodates 150-200 guests for weddings and special events in a picturesque outdoor park setting. Weddings can be scheduled mid-May through mid-October. No indoor alternative space is available for ceremonies or receptions. The four-hour rental allows time for set-up, the ceremony and removal of decorations. Rehearsal times must be scheduled in advance.

Bench style seating accommodates 150 people; an additional 50 people can sit on the lawn (lawn chairs or blankets are not provided). Parking is limited to about 50 cars.

There is a small gazebo with electricity at the rear of the amphitheater available for use. Restrooms are available at Wint Nature Center. The Sensory Garden is available for photos with amphitheater rental.

Picturesque Pavilions

Several parks offer rental picnic pavilions that are picture-perfect for weddings and special gatherings. Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for picnics and parties. Learn more about our pavilion rentals here.

Birthday Party Packages for children are available through Red Oaks and Wint nature centers. Parties feature a nature theme, craft and/or hike, offering a unique experience.
