About 2,080 Oakland County residents took a bus to work in 2021 (ACS). Transit also connects businesses to a larger and more stable workforce so they can continue to provide goods and services.

Oakland County has approximately 696,000 jobs and 100 licensed post-secondary education institutions (2023-2025 Economic Outlook for Oakland County, Pure Michigan Talent Connect), only some of which are currently accessible by transit.
