Task Force Overview

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners (BOC) recognizes the seriousness of human trafficking and the ongoing threat it poses to vulnerable adults and children, as well as to the safety of all the people of Oakland County. The Oakland County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF) was created in 2015 under the authorization of the BOC. The goal of the OCHTTF is to serve as the leading resource for Oakland County in the prevention of human trafficking and in the protection and rehabilitation of victims, through education, advocacy and collaboration.

Oakland County Human Trafficking Website

In January 2018, the Board of Commissioners and the Health Division launched a new Oakland County Human Trafficking website, which includes vital information about human trafficking in Oakland County. It is a resource for human trafficking victims and their advocates, parents and professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about this serious issue. The creation of this website was a collaborative effort between the Oakland County Human Trafficking Task Force and its many partners. The launch of the new site was announced at a press conference on January, 11, 2018.
