The Court's Business Division was created as a direct result of the administrative merger of the Circuit and the Probate Courts. This division is responsible for the development and delivery of business and administrative support services for both Courts.

In order to manage its diverse and complex responsibilities effectively, this division is divided into the following four primary units of operation.

Administrative and Financial Unit

The Administrative and Financial Unit is responsible for the development and monitoring of the Court's budget, processing all payments for services including court-appointed attorney payments, managing personnel transactions, record keeping activities, office supply orders, and managing building/facility requests.

Court Resource and Program Specialist

The Court Resource and Program Specialist is an area of general responsibility that directs the Courts' efforts in providing information and administrative support services to the Courts and outside agencies. This area coordinates special projects and events, develops alternative fund sources through grant writing, and manages public information through the production of press releases, brochures, annual reports, and other media relations.

Data Technology Unit

The Data Technology Unit responsibilities include the advancement of court automation, facilitation of cross-departmental communication, management of day-to-day computer applications, databases, and network issues, oversight of all video recording systems, production of court statistical reports, development of website and social media content, and implementation of all new court technology initiatives.

Word Processing Unit
