Early Intervention Conference
The Early Intervention Conference (“EIC”) is a required hearing with your assigned Referee that you must attend. It will provide you with an opportunity to address any issues that may have come up since your case was filed as well as to ask questions that you may have. You can find the Referee assigned to your case on the court explorer application - CourtExplorer. The exact time of your EIC hearing can be found by visiting the link to your Referee’s schedule below.
Forms
Before the EIC date, you must complete and turn in the following forms (see below):
- EIC Information Form
- Application for IV-D Child Support Services
- Domestic Violence Screening Form
- Verified Statement
- Direct Deposit Authorization Form
- Friend of the Court Handbook
Once you have completed these forms, please submit using one of the following methods:
- Online using the Correspondence/Document Submission link at www.oakgov.com/foc
- By mail to Oakland County Friend of the Court, PO Box 436012, Pontiac MI 48343-6012
- By fax to (248) 858-0461
- By hand delivery to our offices at 230 Elizabeth Lake Rd, Pontiac, MI 48341
EIC via Zoom
At this time all EIC’s are being conducted using the Zoom video conferencing application.
- Windows Desktop PCs and Laptops: Go to Zoom Web Site at zoom.us. Click on “Join a Call” and join using Meeting ID listed in your Referee’s schedule
- Apple and Android Tablets or Phones: Install the Zoom App from the Apple or Android Store prior to the call. Launch the Zoom App at the time of the call and join using Meeting ID listed in your Referee’s schedule
- Phone Call Only: Call 646 876 9923 or 669 900 6833 and join using Meeting ID listed on your referee’s schedule
Troubleshooting
- The Court does not provide technical assistance for the testing or troubleshooting. Additionally, the Court does not provide time during court to troubleshoot issues.
- Zoom offers numerous trainings and videos in their help center
- Directions for testing your device and networking prior to the proceeding
- Remote Participants should take time prior to the call to become familiar with the Zoom controls and test your device’s mic and speaker controls.
