Oakland County values our part-time workforce. Employment in a Summer, Student, or College Intern position allows individuals the opportunity to work part-time while pursuing schooling or seasonal employment. We allow self-motivated individuals exposure to business operations, and to apply their classroom training to the workplace environment.

Summer

Summer positions are available to anyone age 16 and over and require little to no experience. The majority of positions are located in the Parks and Recreation Department, allowing individuals the opportunity to spend the summer having fun in the sun! These positions range from Seasonal Laborers, Lifeguards, Parks and Recreation Seasonal Program Specialists, Food Service Workers, Park and Recreation Attendants, to Parks and Recreation Program Leaders.

Other opportunities for individuals outside of the Parks and Recreation system for those over age 18 range from Seasonal Laborer, Law Clerk, Summer Animal Census Worker, Seasonal Program Leader, Summer Clerical, Summer Criminal Justice/Casework Assistant Summer Health Education Assistant and Seasonal Horticulture Advisor. Student

College and High School students have an amazing opportunity to learn and perform entry level administrative tasks in a variety of departments. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in High School or College. For more information, select the following button to review the full job description. College Internships

College Internship positions are designed for individuals to obtain real-world experience while gaining class credits. Paid internships are available during all semesters, for freshmen through graduate-level students. The College Intern position is typically posted during the late summer, with applications accepted until an adequate amount has been submitted.
