Fee Schedules
The IDSO uses the following fee schedules to pay attorneys:

Payment Voucher Submissions
Use this link to submit a voucher on any case where you were appointed by the IDSO.
Please note that the voucher submission website is taken offline by IT on the 4th Friday of every month from 9:00pm - 6:00am for maintenance.
All voucher submissions must contain a time itemization. The IDSO has created template forms for attorneys. For felony cases, the IDSO recommends using the Excel template. The PDF template is designed for simple cases with only a few itemized events.
- Felony Template - Excel
- 52nd District Court Misdemeanor Template - Excel
- 52nd District Court House Counsel Template - Excel
- 52nd District Court Specialty Treatment Template
In most cases, attorneys are encouraged to not file a voucher until final disposition of the case (i.e., sentence, dismissal, bench warrant, attorney withdrawal, attorney retained out). All vouchers must be submitted within 30 days of that date (or sooner, if requested by the IDSO at the end of the fiscal year). The IDSO understands that exigent circumstances can arise, however, there is no guarantee of payment on late vouchers.
At the end of the fiscal year, this timeframe is shortened. All vouchers for cases completed in September of 2024 must be received no later than Friday, October 4, 2024. (i.e. if you complete a case on Friday, September 27th, you have 7 days to submit your voucher).
In cases that are significantly complex, which in the attorney’s professional judgment may span an inordinate length of time, attorneys may submit quarterly vouchers. Attorneys should be diligent about ensuring that in these circumstances, they are only vouchering for work done during the applicable quarter.
Electronic Voucher Submission Video
On August 6, 2024, an email was sent to the entire attorney roster regarding the changes being made to the electronic voucher submission page. This is the video referred to in that email:
