The Reentry Process begins working with youth and their families immediately upon the youth's placement in a residential treatment program. Using a team approach that includes juvenile court, residential treatment staff, Reentry staff, and community services providers, a transition plan is developed to provide identified services for youth and their families as they complete court-ordered treatment and reintegrate back into the community. Including in this process are standardized screening and assessment tools that help determine individual strengths and needs.

Children's Village has four certified trainers who facilitate the evidence based Parent Project's® "Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior" parent-training program. This intervention model is specifically designed for parents of high-risk youth as it focuses on current behaviors, needs- based interventions, and specific skill development for parents. Participants meet one night a week for 10 weeks, and they must attend all 10 weeks to receive a certificate of completion.

The Children’s Village balanced, and restorative justice program is designed to help offenders realize the impact that their crimes have had on the community, and work towards repairing the harm they have caused. The TRACC Program will assist youth to work through the three main components of the program: Acknowledgement of wrongdoing, changing behavior, and restitution in the form of community service.

Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) is an integrated, comprehensive, family-centered treatment for youth problems and disorders. MDFT focuses on key areas of the adolescent’s life and provides an effective and cost-efficient treatment that has been shown to prevent out-of-home placement.

The principal treatment objectives of Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) are to eliminate substance abuse, crime, and delinquency, improve mental health, school, and family functioning. MDFT improves the adolescent’s coping, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and enhances family functioning.

MDFT addresses a range of youth problem behaviors – substance abuse, delinquency, antisocial and aggressive behaviors, school and family problems, and emotional difficulties.
