Boil water advisories are issued when there is either a risk of contamination or known contamination in the water supply. This can be caused by a temporary loss of pressure during some water system repairs or replacements. Whenever a water system loses pressure, there is the potential for contaminants to enter the system. Potential health risks are minimized by boiling water before consumption.

Boil water advisories affecting fewer than 200 customers will not be posted on the website. In this instance, the boil water notice will be hand delivered or attached to the front door of each affected service address.
