Delinquent taxpayers are encouraged to contact our office for free, personalized and confidential assistance. Additionally, it is highly recommended that payments on the delinquent taxes are made whenever possible.
Notice of Non-Discrimination

Delinquent Property Tax Deadline Approaching
In our ongoing effort to prevent residential and commercial property foreclosures, Oakland County residents and business owners with unpaid property taxes from 2022 or prior years that are subject to foreclosure are being visited by Oakland County Treasurer’s Office contractors beginning on Nov. 6, 2024.
Our contractors are providing personal notice and a very important information packet regarding the foreclosure process, hearing dates, upcoming deadlines, payment options and available resources and assistance.
We encourage everyone to pay their delinquent property taxes by the deadline on Mar. 31, 2025. If you cannot pay your delinquent property taxes, schedule a Taxpayer Assistance Meeting using the button below or contact our office for assistance.
Failure to pay your delinquent taxes or contact our office for assistance may result in the loss of your property.
Taxpayer Assistance Meetings
Each year, the Oakland County Treasurer’s Office holds confidential taxpayer assistance meetings by phone for Oakland County residential and commercial property owners who cannot pay their delinquent taxes in full.
